Connecting research, education and applications

The three founding partners of the National Centre Performing Arts (NCPA) – ArtEZ University for the Arts, HAN University of Applied Sciences and Papendal Sports Medical Centre – are coming together to build links between specialised care, applied research and education. Join us at a public symposium for students, alumni, teachers and professionals from these fields on Monday 20 November 2017 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

There is growing awareness of interdisciplinary co-operation in health and medical care for performing artists, and quality in this expertise is improving. This symposium offers an interactive international programme aimed at both students and professionals, reflecting the connections between higher education, current research and its application.

The programme, which will have a strong international focus, will be available online after the summer holiday. The symposium will be chaired by Judith Smit, managing director of the HAN Paramedical Institute (NL), and Gaby Allard, director of the ArtEZ Academy of Theatre and Dance (NL) and the NCPA.

For whom? Students, teachers and professionals from the performing arts and allied health fields
